HOW DID YOU MEET:
Jen: Rick scheduled a massage at my office in July and that's when we met for the first time. I hoped for so long he'd come back and practically gave up hope, then he came again in November and asked me out!
Rick:I had just come back from three months of back-packing in Europe and my muscles were in pain! So I picked a random message therapist out of the Yellow Pages and it happened to be Jen. She looked incredible and was dropping several hints so I got up the nerve and asked her out.
WHAT WAS IT LIKE DATING EACH OTHER:
Jen: Rick swept me off my feet, I've never met anyone so attentive to my needs. We couldn't stay away from each other!!!
Rick: I initially thought we would just be friends but as time went on Jen kept amazing me with how cool she was. I had this list of the perfect woman stashed away and Jen was the first one to ever score 100%.
WHAT WERE SOME BIG MOMENTS BEFORE THE PROPOSAL:
Jen: Valentine's day was amazing, Rick snuck into my living room while I was at work and transformed it to a dining room (i didn't have a dining room). I was showered with flowers, champagne, romantic music, poetry and food!! This year he bought 20 HUGE ballons, candles, rose petals, champagne, brie and Frank Sinatra.
Rick: Jen surprised me on several occasions. The first was when I tried her cooking. She is so good that it's better than most restaurants! I then found out one weekend that she likes video games. Guys, if you find a woman who likes Play-Station, hang onto her. The first time she met my little brothers and sisters was a treat. She played with them longer than anyone over 15 has for a long time, and they all go nuts whenever she visits. Anyone who likes kids that much is a keeper. She is also very good at math, so hopefully our kids will have better luck at it than I did.
DESCRIBE THE PROPOSAL:
Jen: I had no idea at all. We were away for a "surprise weekend" to Rick's family reunion!! Rick got up in front of all these relatives under this giant tent with microphone in hand and invited me to come join him. He told everyone that at the next reunion he hoped to bring another Salvatoriello and got on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!
Rick:Once I knew Jen was the one, my goal was to make the proposal as dramatic as possible. I planned the whole thing in total secrecy - the looks on everyone's faces was truely priceless. We even got it on video!
HOW IS PLANNING THE WEDDING:
Jen: Great!!! Rick has done the majority of it so far. I've just been creating this web page and some other easy tasks.
Rick:Jen is being modest. Anyone who can get all those bridesmaids organized has done quite the job. Besides, she is my inspiration. We decided not to use a wedding planner and it has been quite the challenge getting all the pieces to fit. The Knot.com and my parents have been a great help. Weddings are expensive!
